CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two lanes of Interstate 85 South between Winston-Salem and Charlotte are closed following a fatal crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer near Exit 79 at Andrews Street, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers confirmed that a tractor-trailer overturned in the crash and that at least one person died. Additional details about the victim or victims had not been released as of early Thursday morning.
