NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — From train tracks to local storefronts, Smyrna’s Depot District has transformed over the years, while holding on to the history that started it all.
Going back in time to 1851, the Smyrna Depot District was the hub of the community.
“This really is, in many respects, the heart of Smyrna is kind of where everything started,” Smyrna Town Manager David Santucci said. “This was the train depot when things happened. There was a feed store here. This is where the pharmacy was. It was a gathering place.”
