Duquesne Clamps Down on Lidless Trash Cans

Residents in Duquesne could face a citation at the district magistrate’s office if they don’t cap their trash cans with a lid.

That was the message from Mayor R. Scott Adams, city council and Code Enforcement Officer Dave Sabo at the May meeting.

Litter and cleaning up the city continues to be a concern with city officials. Sabo said if residents put out a trash can without a lid, they could be tagged with a paper door hanger, politely asking for compliance. And if it happens again, Sabo could issue a citation at District Judge Scott Schricker’s office…
