TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A 58-year-old inmate at the Leon County Detention Facility died Wednesday, May 6, while in custody, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
The inmate was identified as Christopher Asjes. He had been under hospice care through the Leon County Sheriff’s Office Inmate Comfort Care Program.
Asjes was pronounced dead at about 3:48 p.m. after care provided by Big Bend Hospice staff and a YesCare nurse. His next of kin has been notified…
