I just found out that many changes were made to petition a school budget, including the deadline.
The schools used to have to file their budgets by April 15, and now they have until April 30 each year to certify.
The petition deadline used to be May 31, but the state shortened the timeline to May 10, and if it falls on the weekend, then it must be submitted by the Friday before…
