A bomb threat turned a routine yesterday into a tense one at Tarrant County’s historic courthouse in downtown Fort Worth, as law enforcement swept the 1895 building and several nearby county offices, briefly disrupting normal business. Deputies, drones, K-9 units, and ground crews all joined the multi-agency response while officials worked to make sure the area was safe.
Search and response
Deputies were called to the courthouse on West Weatherford Street yesterday and began methodical sweeps of the landmark building and surrounding county offices, according to WFAA. Search teams did not find any explosive devices or suspicious packages in the buildings they checked, the station reported. The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office told WFAA that anyone found responsible could face a terroristic-threat charge if arrested and charged.
