Honolulu Police Commission names 3 finalists for next HPD Chief

HONOLULU (Island News) — The Honolulu Police Commission announced on Wednesday the three finalists for Honolulu’s next Chief of Police.

The commission named these finalists who moved forward out of six candidates at public meeting on Wednesday, May 6:

  • Scott Ebner, who was a finalist three years ago that worked many years in law enforcement in New Jersey and recently served as a chief of a Georgia police department.
  • Mike Lambert, who recently served as director for the Hawaii Department of Law Enforcement.
  • David Lazar, who spent more than 30 years at San Francisco Police Department.
