Lane closure announced after crews respond to structure fire in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Asheville City Fire Department responded to a structure fire early Thursday.

Crews were dispatched to a fire at 14 Airport Road in the Arden community around 4:35 a.m. By 5:09 a.m., fire suppression efforts had confined the fire to the exterior of the building, and by 5:16 a.m., the fire was declared under control.

Officials said that the Asheville Police Department provided traffic control and is assisting with the investigation. The cause of the fire remains unknown…
