CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland officials insist the city’s Flock cameras remain secure and won’t be used for immigration enforcement even after Dayton shut down its cameras following a data breach.
Police searched Dayton’s Flock data 7,100 times for immigration-related purposes, despite city policy forbidding it, according to reporting from the Dayton Daily News and WYSO. An internal investigation found that a police commander in charge of implementing Dayton’s safeguards did not do so.
