Mocktails and More at New Cafe Jazzy Rose
The newly opened Café Jazzy Rose is bringing a Jazz Age-inspired vibe to Ionia Avenue, but with a twist: the drinks are completely alcohol-free. The new restaurant and “elixir lounge” moved into theformer Pochi’s Colombian Restaurant space on Ionia Ave. downtown Grand Rapids.
Cafe Jazzy Rose is co-owned by Chef Ben Kaja and Joseff VanHorn. They describe the joint as a jazz-centric restaurant, cafe, and spirit-free cocktail lounge inspired by iconic music cities like New Orleans, Chicago, and New York.
Inside, the space is designed as a “living archive” of Jazz Age history and musicians, featuring a gallery honoring jazz legends. Here’s a peek at the interior:
