4.2 magnitude earthquake strikes near The Geysers in Sonoma County

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake shook parts of the North Bay and other Northern California areas early Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 2:42 a.m. Pacific Time near Cobb in Lake County at a depth of about 3 kilometers, or 1.9 miles, the USGS said.

The epicenter was about 13 miles north-northeast of Healdsburg, 14 miles southwest of Clearlake and roughly 17 miles north of Windsor, according to seismologists…
