DES MOINES, Iowa — A second major apartment fire in the metro this week is once again prompting central Iowans to rally around neighbors in need.
More than 70 people were displaced after a fire tore through an apartment complex on Des Moines’ south side Monday. Days later, another fire damaged an apartment building in Norwalk, leaving dozens more residents facing uncertainty about what comes next.
