North Valleys High School was placed on a lockdown due to a nearby off-campus disturbance for nearly two hours on Thursday.

The Washoe County School District initially announced a secured campus at 1:54 p.m. on Thursday, but then upgraded the school’s status to a lockdown less than 10 minutes later.
