A mid-ranking city employee will become the interim director of the troubled Portland Housing Bureau.
Quisha Light has been with the city since 2022, most recently as Public Works customer service division manager. She served briefly as the interim director of the Portland Water Bureau and, before joining the city, worked for nearly a decade at Portland General Electric as a paralegal and then in management roles.
Before that, she was a lawyer in Tennessee, where she previously had her license to practice law suspended, according to public records.
