Serial thief faces years behind bars after Clay County sentencing

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – An Elsberry man with a multi-state theft record will spend years behind bars for retail thefts and burglaries across Clay and Platte counties.

Jason W. Beach, 52, was sentenced to 6 years in prison on May 6, 2026, following convictions tied to a string of thefts at area stores in late 2024, according to Clay County Prosecutor Zachary Thompson.
