Comeaux High lawsuit plaintiff raises concerns of retaliation

LAFAYETTE, LA. (KLFY) — Suzanne Lajaunie, who was a plaintiff in legal action against the Lafayette Parish School System, is raising concerns about potential retaliation after the school system declined to agree to specific anti-retaliation terms during settlement discussions.

The lawsuit involved the closure of Comeaux High School. Lajaunie had requested specific anti-retaliation protections during earlier settlement talks with the school system. However, the Lafayette Parish School System would not agree to those specific terms, instead wanting only to cite Louisiana revised statute of law about retaliation.
