St. Louis felon sentenced to 27 years in federal gun possession case

A St. Louis convicted felon has been sentenced to a combined 27 years in federal prison after being found guilty of illegally possessing firearms in two separate incidents, including one that followed a police pursuit.

U.S. District Judge Joshua M. Divine sentenced Roosevelt Easley, 40, on Thursday to 25 years in prison after finding him guilty in October following a two-day bench trial on two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Judge Divine also imposed an additional two-year prison sentence for violating Easley’s supervised release connected to a 2018 federal conviction in which he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute a mixture containing heroin and fentanyl, cocaine base, and methamphetamine…
