SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Restaurants all over KELOLAND are getting ready for Mother’s Day.
It’s consistently the busiest dining day of the year for restaurants, often surpassing Valentine’s Day. Popular options for Mother’s Day include brunch, lunch, and dinner. A lot of people are looking for a unique experience and the convenience of skipping the home kitchen cleanup. According to the National Restaurant Association, in 2026, roughly 40-50% of mothers will be treated to a nice meal.
A lot of restaurants in KELOLAND are featuring a dedicated mother’s day brunch. Tarquin Argentinean restaurant in Sioux Falls has taken it a step further. Owner Gabriel Rivero is having a contest, giving away 30 of these Selva Negra cakes to honor his mother and all mothers.
