HONOLULU (KHON2) — It’s a busy week going into Mother’s Day.
“Mother’s Day is certainly one of the busiest weeks of the year, especially here in Hawaii, because lei is such a big, important part of what we do,” said Monty Pereira, Watanabe Floral general manager. “So not only are you selling a lot of cut flowers and arrangements, but you’re also buying a lei for mom, as well as to take her to brunch, take her to a show.”
“We’re expecting it to be very busy just because it is Mother’s Day,” said Stephanie Hino, manager at Westman Cafe, “Right now we’re about 80% booked out.”…
