CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The husband of a local influencer who died after undergoing cosmetic surgery has filed a lawsuit alleging negligence and a cover-up by a suburban Cincinnati surgery center and its staff.
Jeremy Tussey is suing JourneyLite Surgery Center, Associated Anesthesiologists of Springfield and members of the medical team involved in the care of his wife, Rachel Tussey, 47.
The lawsuit claims medical negligence, negligent hiring and supervision, destruction of evidence and emotional distress following Rachel Tussey’s death after multiple procedures, including a tummy tuck, liposuction and an umbilical hernia repair.
According to the complaint, Dr. Shahryar Tork performed a nine-hour surgery in February at JourneyLite Surgery Center. The lawsuit alleges Rachel was given a total of 100 micrograms of fentanyl and 0.5 micrograms of Dilauded.
