A driver was killed early Friday morning after his vehicle crashed into the back of a semi-truck on Cornelia Highway/ SR 365 at Kubota Way.
According to the investigation conducted by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit, the tractor-trailer was stopped at a red light on Cornelia Highway southbound at Kubota Way.
The other driver, in a passenger car, was reportedly traveling southbound and crashed into the rear of the stopped truck. The car became wedged underneath the truck’s rear bumper. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
