Deck Plaza will improve quality of life, for whom?

City Council Rep. Lily Limon is the only individual with any common sense when it comes to the Downtown Deck Plaza. She can foresee the adverse financial conditions it will inflict on our city. How can we move forward on a project when we don’t even know its final cost?

It is said that this project will improve quality of life, how and for whom? Will it attract tourists and to what degree? Where will the parking be? What will the annual cost be to maintain it? How will the I-10 traffic be dealt with?

Let’s look at other city projects, The 12 Travelers Project is an ongoing long-term project, where it seems that some of the travelers are lost in the Chihuahuan desert. The Duranguito project, where individuals were forced out of their homes, what’s it future? Where’s the Downtown Arena Project at?…
