Every city has them, but Lubbock seems to specialize in them. You’ll notice it especially when you drive down 34th Street.

You know the places. The tiny businesses that are tucked in between new buildings. Stores with faded signs that haven’t changed since the 90s. Places that somehow survive economic crashes, construction zones, online shopping, and whatever else the universe has thrown at them over the years.

Honestly, we’d probably riot if they disappeared.
