Amigo Sole will soon have two new sibling concepts. Jekyll & Hyde (6100 Delmar) is set to debut this month in the adjacent corner space that previously housed Prime 55 Restaurant and Lounge. A series of soft openings will kick off in mid-May (register online), followed by a grand opening that’s tentatively scheduled for May 22. Here’s what to know before you go.
The Concept
Inspired by the Broadway stage play of the same name, Jekyll & Hyde offers a dual-faceted dining experience. The main-floor concept, Jekyll, features elevated Mexican-Latin cuisine as a counterpart to the fast-casual Mexican eatery Amigo Sole (which opened in 2023 and has expanded with two locations). The downstairs concept, Hyde, brings a reservations-only, underground, American steakhouse to the area.
“With the three concepts, we’re offering a tier for every budget and demographic—all under one roof,” says Juan Sevilla, senior lead of operations.
“Jekyll will be fun, vibrant, exciting, and energetic,” adds marketing manager Rose Hart. “And then you have the opportunity to embrace the alter-ego of Hyde by descending to the lower level, which is more chic, intimate, elegant, and sophisticated.”…
