CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The former Smith School in Charlotte on Tyvola Road will soon become housing units for Mecklenburg County and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools teachers.
“It represents a huge step in the county’s ability to make a difference in the lives of its employees, as well as employees with CMS,” said Jacqueline McNeil, the real estate management director for Mecklenburg County.
