CICERO, Ind. — A Cicero, Indiana police officer is credited with successful efforts to find and help rescue an injured bald eagle Saturday.
According to a post on social media, a person called dispatchers to report having seen an injured eagle around U.S. 31 and 236th Street in Hamilton County. Officers who went to the area to conduct a search were initially unable to find it, the post said, but “thanks to Officer Barker’s determination and persistence, she was able to successfully locate and rescue the obviously injured eagle.”
