The renewed scrutiny comes after a parent alleged that her 14-year-old son was urinated on in the locker-room showers in January, an incident she says ultimately drove him off the team. The boy’s mother told reporters the episode happened after practice on Jan. 2 and initially quoted her son as saying, “people were peeing on my face,” though later notes from an investigator said the fluid landed on his leg, according to ClickOnDetroit. She told Local 4 she filed a police report to have it on record and said the student accused remained on the roster and continued competing while the family waited for accountability.

District Reopens Probe and Points to Policy

District officials say the inquiry was restarted after additional information surfaced through local reporting. A subsequent review, guided by the district’s law firm, concluded that misconduct occurred.
