A pair from Wildwood landed behind bars on drug charges after being stopped at Days Inn with pills and narcotics.
A deputy stopped 34-year-old Eric Eugene Mobley and 43-year-old Chanara Toniele Rojas at Days Inn on State Road 44 in Wildwood, around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He had seen their black BMW exit a Pilot gas station without coming to a complete stop.
During the traffic stop, the deputy smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle’s interior. The occupants were asked about this but denied having marijuana in their possession. They were still asked to exit the vehicle for a search, the report said.
The deputy started by looking in a blue fanny pack in the backseat, finding multiple clear plastic baggies with cocaine and marijuana. The seat compartment directly in front of the backseat to the right had marijuana powder and a marijuana cigarette, the report said…
