Woman hurt in 2024 Market Square shootout files lawsuit against city, Fiesta organizers

SAN ANTONIO — A woman injured in the 2024 shootout during Fiesta de los Reyes has filed a lawsuit seeking more than $1 million in damages against Fiesta organizers and the City of San Antonio.

According to the lawsuit filed April 27 in Bexar County’s 45th District Court, Nadia Alvarez alleges that negligence by event organizers and city officials contributed to the gunfire that erupted during the annual Fiesta celebration at Market Square.

The suit names Fiesta San Antonio Commission Inc., Consejo Real de Reyes Feos Anteriores Inc., and City of San Antonio as defendants…
