COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — The annual Collierville Youth Fishing Rodeo reeled in dozens of young anglers Saturday morning at W.C. Johnson Park Lake.
The family-friendly event invited children ages 12 and under to spend the morning fishing, enjoying the outdoors, and showing off their angler skills.
City leaders stocked the pond ahead of the event, giving participants plenty of opportunities to land a big catch.

Collierville Mayor Maureen Fraser said events like the rodeo are a great way to encourage kids to get outside and spend time in nature.
“We try to bring the community together, get everyone to get out, meet their neighbors, enjoy the environment, enjoy the parks, take care of the community, and just to celebrate being together,” Fraser said. “And that’s what this is. We try to have unique experiences so anyone who participates can make memories.”…
