Manogue dominates Reed 14-0 en route to first softball regional championship in 15 years

Bishop Manogue softball won zero league games just four years ago. On Saturday, the Miners hoisted its first regional title in 15 years.

Manogue (30-3) came in as the No. 2 seed in the tournament. They’d face the No. 3 seed Reed (27-11), who they beat on Wednesday 6-5 to advance in the winners bracket.

Manogue got on the board quickly after a three-run bomb from sophomore Reese Vaulet, making it 4-0 in the first inning. Next at-bat for Vaulet, she’d mash another home run setting up a five-run inning for the Miners. Iowa State commit Sammi Boggs dominated in the circle, striking out the last three batters and pitching a complete game.
