The Edmonds City Council at its Tuesday, May 12 meeting is again scheduled to vote on Mayor Mike Rosen’s appointment of Stephanie Lucash as Edmonds’ new city administrator.
By a vote of 5-1 on May 5, the Council agreed to delay the vote one week, with Council president Michelle Dotsch saying the appointment is “a very high-level and high-profile position” and the council and public should have more time to consider it.
Lucash was hired by the City of Kenmore in 2021 and serves as the city’s deputy city manager. According to her biography on Kenmore’s website, she has 34 years of government experience including management positions with the Cities of Kenmore, Seattle, Covington and King County. She has a master’s degree in public administration from the UW’s Evans School of Public Policy and teaches a local government course to graduate students.
