UT San Antonio awarded national $44M contract to study rural health gaps

An ambitious study looking to understand rural health gaps is taking the research to the doorsteps of those most affected.

The University of Texas at San Antonio was awarded a five-year $44 million contract from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health to study health challenges in the rural South.
