GASTONIA, N.C. — A suspect was found hiding in CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia after a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon, police say.
Payton Beatty, 20, and Christopher Hooper, 27, were allegedly driving two stolen motorcycles down New Hope Road and East Franklin Boulevard. When police officers tried to pull them over, they allegedly sped off.
The motorcycles were found crashed and abandoned at the end of Melvin Drive, near New Hope Road. Gastonia police deployed K-9 Bo to track the suspects…
