Woman arrested in connection to hit-and-run investigation involving kid on bike

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after being accused of leaving the scene of a crash involving a juvenile on a bicycle in Evansville.

According to an affidavit filed by the Evansville Police Department, officers responded on May 11, at around 2:30 p.m. to a report of a child struck by a vehicle near Bedford and Madison avenues. Police stated in the affidavit that the juvenile was riding a bike when he was hit by a vehicle and later complained of pain to his knees and shins. The document also stated family members told officers the child vomited and appeared unsteady after the crash.

Police stated the driver was identified as Dymond Stovall. Investigators said Stovall provided only her first name, phone number and license plate number before leaving the scene…
