NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Nashville’s highest rain chance is after midnight.
Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected overnight. This will serve as Middle Tennessee’s best rain chance for the next week or more.
Severe to extreme drought continues in Middle Tennessee. We desperately could use more rain. Some will develop and move through in advance of a cold front overnight Sunday into early Monday. Many will get at least some rain, but a 1/4 of Middle Tennessee or less will get significant enough rain to make it meaningful for plants and lawns.
Lightning and thunder are likely with some cells that form, but severe weather is not. The instability (available energy) and wind in the atmosphere isn’t conducive for powerful storms…
