As a 10-year resident of the Cottages st Summerchase, I also had a whole house water filtration system installed several years ago by the NOVA filtration company. Thank God for that decision.
We have our filters (3) changed out every 22 months. Two of the filters are general filters. The third one has smaller filters to catch bacteria that the other two don’t. When they are changed all three are a dark dirt looking brown. The tech has said it’s not normal and they have seen worse.
This problem is from shoddy workmanship with regard to the pipes in The Villages on the install side. There is a leak in the system that is allowing dirt and debris to get in the water pipes at some point…
