HENDERSON, Ky. — A 10-cent-per-gallon reduction in Kentucky’s motor fuels tax took effect Monday under a state of emergency declared by Gov. Andy Beshear, D-Ky., with the goal of providing relief to drivers facing elevated gas prices.
The executive order lowers the tax on both gasoline and diesel, and incorporates anti-price-gouging provisions to guarantee that savings reach Kentuckians at the pump.
