GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Alachua County Sheriff’s Office officials have confirmed an inmate died in the county jail on Sunday night.
Officials say Shirley Williams, 68, was being held in the infirmary when a detention officer, doing routine 15-minute checks, found her unresponsive in her bed around 11:15.
