ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Another Philadelphia man was placed in Blair County Prison after allegedly being found with drugs and cash in Altoona.
Benjamin Locke, 32, also known as “Blue,” was arrested Thursday, May 7, and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and escape.
While on detail, officers with the Altoona Police Department and the Blair County Drug Task Force spotted Locke on the 2300 block of 8th Avenue. As a marked patrol car approached from behind, Locke allegedly took off a backpack he was wearing and placed it in a garbage can, and continued walking.
Officers made contact with Locke, who allegedly denied possessing a backpack. When an officer went to the garbage can to retrieve it, Locke ran on foot.
After a brief chase, Locke was taken into custody while repeatedly shouting, “kill me, kill me,” police reported.
