Austin police search for woman accused of withdrawing $20K with stolen credit cards

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman accused of using stolen credit cards to withdraw more than $20,000 from several banks in February.

According to APD, the woman visited multiple banks and impersonated the victim by using stolen bank account information and a fake ID with her photo alongside the victim’s details.

Police said on Feb. 23, she successfully withdrew thousands of dollars, including at a Frost Bank location at 2425 Exposition Blvd. around 2:30 p.m. and another Frost Bank location at 5656 Bee Caves Road around 4 p.m…
