No one was hurt in a Monday morning fire in Carencro.
At 11:33 a.m., the Carencro Fire Department, along with the Lafayette and Scott fire departments, responded to a reported commercial fire at 501 Thoroughbred Drive.
When units arrived on scene, they found a metal building being used as a mechanic shop fully engulfed in flames. The roof had already collapsed, prompting crews to focus first on protecting nearby buildings before launching a defensive attack on the fire…
