Three displaced by fire at northwest Albuquerque apartment complex

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Three people were displaced after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in northwest Albuquerque Sunday evening.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the West Park Apartments, located at 9251 Eagle Ranch Road NW, around 5:40 p.m. for reports of a possible structure fire. Firefighters arrived and found that a three-story apartment building had light smoke coming from the third floor, and the fire alarms and sprinkler systems were activated.

The fire was brought under control within 17 minutes, and damage to the structure was mostly contained to one apartment where the fire was. However, the two apartments below suffered water damage as a result of the sprinkler system, Albuquerque Fire Rescue said…
