Newberg Winery Launches Pinot Noir to Benefit Mental Health Fund
NEWBERG, Ore. — A Newberg winery is using its latest release to raise funds for mental health advocacy, with a local dinner event planned for later this month.
L’Angolo Estate founder Chase Renton launched Resilience, a limited-production Willamette Valley Pinot Noir priced at $38, on May 1 in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month. All proceeds from wine sales benefit the Kevin Love Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on mental health education and stigma reduction.
Renton said the project grew out of his own experiences with anxiety, depression, cancer, and burnout. The wine’s label, featuring Renton’s own handwriting, draws on the Japanese concept of kintsugi — the practice of repairing broken pottery with gold — as a symbol of healing…
