‘Should I be concerned?’: Residents denied entry to hearing as Limerick data center fight intensifies

LIMERICK TWP., Pa. – A Montgomery County community held a conditional use hearing Monday night to consider a major proposed data center.

Many people living in Limerick Township came to protest outside the administration building, saying they don’t want a data center in their community. The protesters opposing the “Project Laurel Data Center” only learned about the plan a few months ago.

“It does feel like it’s moving very, very fast,” said Meagan Smolsky, who lives about two miles from the proposed data center site…
