READING – The Reading select board will convene it’s regular meeting on Tuesday, May 12. On the agenda this week is a report from town manager Jayne Wellman regarding the town’s health insurance, a discussion about MBTA culvert work, and a discussion about sending a letter to the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regarding the Cannabis Reform Law.
Wellman will share that the town has negotiated a new 3-year health insurance agreement that will offer more options for employees and save the town money. The measure is designed to address accommodated costs.
The meeting also includes a public hearing regarding proposed amendments to parking along Woburn Street. The amendments seek to prohibit parking along the southerly side of Woburn Street between High Street and number 90 Woburn Street inclusive. Parking will be prohibited along the southerly side of Woburn Street from the driveway entrance of the Brande Court Municipal parking lot westerly to High Street.
