Huntsville Animal Services at critical capacity for cats

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville Animal Services made a plea for help Monday after hitting critical capacity for cats.

HAS says by 3 p.m. they had accepted 37 cats and kittens, many of them under 2 weeks old arriving alongside their mothers. As of 5 p.m., they had 84 cats and kittens in their building.

They say before the day even began they already had over 100 kittens in foster care. HAS says their kitten nursery, stray hold area and quarantine area are all packed full…
