HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department is honoring officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
From May 11 to 15, in observance of National Police Week, HPD is hosting events all week.
“National Police Week is a time of remembrance, gratitude and renewed purpose for the Honolulu Police Department,” said Interim Police Chief Rade Vanic. “We honor the 51 members of our department whose service and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we stand with the families who carry their memory each day. Their legacy lives on through the men and women who continue to wear the badge with humility, accountability and aloha — serving not only as officers, but as neighbors, parents, friends and partners in communities across our island.”…
