Newburgh Heights plans OVI sobriety checkpoint

NEWBURGH HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) — Newburgh Heights police have planned a sobriety checkpoint for the weekend of Friday, May 15.

The location and time are expected to be announced the morning of the checkpoint, according to a Tuesday, May 12, news release from police.

Cleveland, CMSD to redevelop 4 landmark school sites

“If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink,” reads the release. “Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.”

Local, county and state law enforcement agencies are expected to help out at the checkpoint this weekend…
