VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. — Four members of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office (VBCSO) were honored for their heroic efforts.
Deputy Jason Erickson, Deputy Cody Bingaman, K9 Charlie, and Sergeant Larry Weers were honored during the Van Buren County Board of Commissioners meeting May 12 for their actions on April 17, 2026, VBCSO said in a release.
On April 17, Deputy Erickson responded to a report of a suspicious abandoned vehicle in a residential backyard. The vehicle was registered out of Jackson.
